Captured early one summer's morning these foxgloves shimmered with dew and the dawn light. A piece of coppiced woodland cleared the year before had liberated copious foxglove seeds to produce a truly memorable sight!

King Arthur’s Well, Northumberland

During a wonderful family holiday in Northumberland we walked much of Hadrian's Wall. This windswept group of trees captivated me; nestled among the hummocks and hollows and somewhere near to them, at least according to the map, is King Arthur's Well!

Stormy Camber Sands

I love Camber, especially out of season when the wind has a tendency to blow you along and the weather can turn within minutes. On several occasions we've returned to the car completely soaked, having set out in beautiful sunshine - and of course moments after taking this shot the heavens opened!!

Old Bodiam Road

An evocative image of an ancient trackway once used by drovers to move their livestock on foot to and from pastures and markets. Pools of sunlight dance on what is now a footpath and a lovely walk to Bodiam Castle.

Changing Light On Camber Sands

It was a beautiful, crisp and clear morning walking on Camber Sands with the dogs and boys. The clouds whizzed across the sky; their shadows racing across the dunes as if chasing the sunlight and certainly quicker than the two and four-legged creatures could run!!
