Snow Flowers
Morning after a storm, delicate desiccated umbellifers cradle little cups of snow, reminiscent of their summer glory.

Bluebells & Dew
Captured shortly after sunrise these bluebells, covered in dew and the faint traces of spider webs, were luminous in the early spring sunshine.

Robin
A cheeky, friendly robin perched in a bamboo, and seemingly unconcerned by my presence!

Touch Down
A lovely painted lady butterfly just alighted on Verbena bonariensis for a sip of nectar. Butterflies love this verbena and at times can dance around it in clouds!

Foxgloves At Dawn
Captured early one summer's morning these foxgloves shimmered with dew and the dawn light. A piece of coppiced woodland cleared the year before had liberated copious foxglove seeds to produce a truly memorable sight!

A Fine Balance
I found this fella whilst photographing a friend's garden. Concentrating to keep his balance on a Pulsatilla seedhead, he seemed oblivious of me and my camera. His face always makes me smile!
